Peranakan cuisine is a vibrant fusion of Chinese and Malay culinary traditions, enriched with influences from Indonesian, Thai, and Indian cooking. Also known as Nyonya cuisine, it originated from the Peranakan communities of Southeast Asia, particularly in Malaysia, Singapore, and parts of Indonesia. This unique gastronomy is characterized by its complex spice blends, labor-intensive preparation methods, and harmonious balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavors. Signature dishes include laksa (spicy noodle soup), ayam buah keluak (chicken with black nuts), and kueh (colorful traditional cakes). In Phuket Town, We’re situated in a restored heritage building with traditional Peranakan architectural features.
